Seeking U Squeezebox

Updated from an early ‘80s recording, as per the request for Sound-In event “Through the Past Darkly”, 29/7 - 5/8/2021.
The title comes from the three segments that make up the piece. At the beginning, and running throughout towards the left side, is a tape delay recording of a small concertina; towards the right is a double speed - and altered for this - rendition of one attempt to create an audio version of a short story by D. M. Thomas called Seeking a Suitable Donor, which is later replaced by a track by UB40 that has also been altered, which happened to be on the tape before being superseded on one channel by the squeezebox, and which occasionally seems to be rhythmically similar to that later recording though I’m sure it is purely coincidental.
