Marz and I have know one another for over ten years now, but we’ve never actually recorded anything where we sang together until now. We discovered that we sound remarkably alike at times, which is kinda scary.
This is a rare Letter Seventeen cover song. That’s mostly because our covers tend to, well…. suck. This one does not. This song is part of our May 30 Day Songs project (https://30daysongs.com) and was inspired by Tim and Marz spending a week together at Ronan’s Song and Sound Retreat (http://recordingretreat.com) in West Virginia in early May. We talked about how much we always intended to work together but rarely did, so now we have and it was pretty cool.
Why this song? One of our group at the Retreat was a lady named Julie. Tim couldn’t stop singing this song to himself once he met her. Earworms are like that and sometimes the only way to get them to go away is to record the song.

Sounds awesome! Clean, forward, and intimate. Love the acoustic arrangement and all the little touches (tambourine, shaker, fingersnaps). Love the layered vocals too from the three singers.
