*. . . . Been there / Done That . . . .*
Now we have a song to describe the experienced, kinda like what Woody Guthrie did for us.
Your songs are always good Robert!
I uploaded this tune several years ago. The other day I found the track was truncated, and when I tried to replace it, that didn't work. Well, anyway, since then I've redone all the vocals and remixed & remastered the tune, so I just blew away…

Hi Robert,
I haven't experienced that problem of downloading automatically.
I have to say your songs are reaching a new level of professionalism. You are leaving the rest of us in the dust.

Here's a clip from a new folk single I just released. You can hear the whole song in the video below, or on the song page on my website.

Well here's my contribution to the Pirate challenge from Robert Palomo. I think you'll agree it was time to call it a night on this one, but it was a lot of fun writing and recording it! Hope it gives you a chuckle or two.
Why Do Parrots…
"Smells like cabbage" - too funny!! This is great pirate song! The uke evokes a tropical island that has been visited by pirates.
And ye've learned well yer pirate speak, briny wench... arrr!

Only a true Minnesotan could write a pirate song like that LOL! Shiver me timers but I like it. Open tuning, flutes... awesome arrangement. Fav fav fav.
Pack a bag and head out west
Change of clothes and leave the rest
Northern skin needs a little sun
Sunshine can cure anyone
Slow it down to a steady pace
Forget about the human race
All I need is what’s inside
Take the rest and let it…
Reminds me of my trip a couple of years ago starting in Las Cruces and ending up in the old ghost town of Pinos Altos, not far from Silver City. If you ever get the chance, go there!
Reminds me of the drunk brought into night court:
Judge: "Well, what brings you here this time?"
Drunk: "Two -hic- p'licemen!"
Judge: "Drunk as usual, I see."
Drunk: "Yep. Both of 'em."
Here is my contribution to the latest song writing challenge posted in the Alonetone Forum.

Who Knew when I first met you
That all your troubles would be mine
And you’d be coming around again…
That one is getting added to my collection of late night highway cruising tunes. Wish I'd had it when I used to drive all night between gigs in your general neck of the woods. Don't have that much use for the collection these days, but ya never know.

This song pretty much sums up my life right now. No direction and no ambition.
Maybe because it's SpringTime and Love is in the air.
In keeping with the romantic nature of the season, it features:
BANJO . . . . . The instrument made…
.
Full moon, full of mystery
Full moon, shadows thru the trees
I can feel your spell, I’m beggin at you please
So long I been straight and true
No wrong has come into view
I can feel that dark side, all because of you
Way down…
Singin' the blues! I think the first 2 lines are the same as "Blue Night", but then it goes off into it's own realm. There's nothing like a reso for the blues. One of these days I should pick up a decent one. BTW - resophonic/dobro with slide is getting really popular here. There was just a big festival going on down in Moscow recently.
Got dat ole Memphis honky tonk smell to it, yessiree Bob. Nice mix, and the tune, well, you just gotta smile. Love the stand-up bass sound. If that's midi it's real good.
And now for something completely different...
Well, friends, I think I may have over-banjo'd myself the past 3 years. It's not abandoned totally or permanently, but since the weather turned I've been feeling the need to turn to something else…
Justin Otter Guy - yeah, banjo came much later in the mix. I'm proverbial "jack of many, master of none" when it comes to instruments. I make it a point to play everything on my tracks myself... for better or worse! ;-)
Comments on Robert Palomo's stuff
Hahaha! This has to be a true story.
Robert . . . I'm laughing over here! It's another bullseye! *Big Celine, My kinda gal*
That was so much fun my toes are damp.
Now that's telling it like it is!!! Love this. Awesome!!
This is so good Robert! I can feel every painful word.

I'm smiling and laughing all the way through! You certainly know how to capture the moment.

FANTASTIC ROBERT! This is a great song! Impeccable production too!
Another good one, your vocals continue to mature. Here"s, a thought: how about a Greg Connor / Palomo collab. Uh hah !
Wow. I mean really wow.
Andres Russe: Rum is indeed an important ingredient. It's the main ingredient of this one: http://www.robertpalomo.com/port_royal_rum :-)

Nice tune. Nice production work. Like that clean guitar tone.
Every now and again I just have to come back for a dose of Rosie. She just makes me smile.
"You're the bubble in my brew" - love it!!
Yeeeeehaw!

Visceral acoustic. I like it!
