Hyper Electronica

For me this year’s RPM challenge was all about being experimental.

For this track I used a plugin called Noises by ADSR Sounds. This plugin comes pre-loaded with a number of sound banks containing samples of many different noise sources. The plugin allows the blending of different sounds creating great sound textures. It also allows the user to upload their own samples and create their own banks.
I used a very old VST synth (a personal favourite) that can create some harsh and unique sounds as the source to create a sound bank for Noises, which I have used in this piece.
These sounds appear through the piece, most prominently at the start.

I also used new experimental techniques and a virtual instrument I rarely used before to create the bass.
