A Beautiful Scene

Just getting the demos uploaded somewhere - These will act as the refrence tracks for when I go to record the cnext album

Ash from the fireplace, driftin’ like ghosts in the air
Smoke on the ceiling, still clings to the cold in my hair
Flickers of yesterday burn in the cracks of the floor
You left without warning, but your shadow’s still at the door

Now I’m dancing in the flames
Fading slow
You left a mark I didn’t know
Cause open wounds don’t lie

Glass shards in the driveway,
Simple words we forgot
Time’s just a landslide,
burying all that I’m not
Your name in the mirror
fades every time that I breathe
But pain is memory,
and it plays when you leave

Glass in the gravel, I still hear the sound
Left with silence, and love like smoke
No home in the house on this street
Silhouettes flicker behind closed eyes
The frame is broken, but the picture repeats
I was never safe, but I never could leave
