If you’ve never been there, the how could you know?
Funny you should mention faith, for mine has always been misplaced.
A decade or more, and all I’ve learned couldn’t fill these hands of mine.
Couldn’t fill this head of mine.

If you’ve never been there, then your words are only sounds.
Just noise we make from habit to comfort ourself.
A hopeless man I’ve become.
I’m not different from before, no better than you all.

But when our worlds collide..
The pieces of my life and all the people I have been, collapsing into one..
Such great big truth filters through my little eyes.

If you’ve never been there, then why should I care?
You have no real insight to share.
One more voice in the crowd.
Do us all a favor and just keep it to yourself.
