Both of us have made mistakes, I know
I’m not so naive to think this is an empty canvas for me to paint my hopes on
Even so, that doesn’t mean there’s no potential
Even so, I’ll still put myself on the line

Growing up can be hard, accepting how things are.
Learning life doesn’t always go as planned
And people aren’t any different, though they’re not that bad
And I think you’re one of the better ones.
I really mean it.
