You're Still Here In My Heart
Colleen Dillon
Here’s a song that battled me for quite awhile… so I am glad to say I’ve gotten it recorded. Still rough from my home studio, but trying out a few additional things on my keyboard to round out the sound around the ukulele. Thanks for listening!
You’re Still Here In My Heart
VERSE 1
Years ago our last words said goodbye
Now you came right through that door
With a smile that seemed to say
You want to try once more
VERSE 2
Did the years make you kinder?
Turn judgment into trust?
Time’s passing taught the lesson
Maybe love should be enough
PRE-CHORUS
I think about you often
It always makes me smile
I wonder what we’d be doing
If we didn’t have all these miles
And days and hours between us
Keeping us apart
CHORUS
But no matter where you’re going
You’re still here in my heart
Yeah, no matter where you’re going
You’re still here in my heart
VERSE 3
I don’t know when I’ll see you
There’s so much else to do
For you, for me, for all of us
But my heart still longs for you
VERSE 4
You have a way about you
It draws me in that’s true
I’m sure it’s clear to everyone
You’ve played me for a fool

Cool track, Colleen. I like the space you left in it, and I really like the way you recorded this so that I could really just soak in the lyrics and melody.
I see I left you a comment yesterday while I was not signed in. I was on Park Point waiting for the lift bridge to come down. You have done it again! That’s what I was thinking. Well constructed and interesting to listen to. Well done Colleen!
Beautiful. Colleen!
Another excellent tune...great lyrics and vocals...I really like the pre chorus into the chorus great job!!
