Love it intro is great, especially when Colleen says we are in Greg's recording studio!! (can I book a few hours?) outstanding song and great vocals all around, sweet harmonies!! I can't believe how good a sound you get recording live at the coffee table...no phones ringing, no dogs barking, no one yelling "turn it down"....ha ha........ I name this band LoDillCo
It's been a long time. Too many distractions and not enough time, or even focus to play lately.
Somehow this song, "Higher Ground" squeaked out from some hidden place.
Released via CD Baby this past week. The full version is available to stream on my site: www.robertpalomo.com/corporation_blues
I'm embedding the video here below.
Cemetery Mary

I went out creeping on a Halloween night
Looking for the scream of my life
Not a single soul was sleeping every spook was insight
Even half-dead were alive
There's a guilty moon hanging in the gallows…

I just might be hiding behind your bedroom door
you might find me lying under your bed, down on the floor
You swear you hear the creekin' coming up the stairs
you got your eye on the peep-hole and nobody's there…
Song by Nick Plagakis
Lyrics:
I don’t care for love and happiness
I got myself a yacht and a mansion
I don’t believe in God and religion
I got myself sixty four billion
Greed, greed, greed is what I need
Greed, greed, greed is what…
This one is still in progress, Jon the guitarist sent me a riff which i stuck together to get a kinda structure...so this is take 1....

Volcano was one of the first tracks that the Proods uploaded to Alonetone, it was fun because it features the Prood gals who aren't always available to jam.
My nephew Spencer or (SZC) as he goes by wrote this song entirely as we were talking about the sad news of Robin Williams passing in a conversation last year and how it felt. So he asked me to do the vocals and guitar.. He will be joining alonetone…
This is a beautiful emotional song telling the sad story of the singer. It describes the emotions of the singer in a precise way.

Here is what Buck said he added:
"So I used the tremolophone (vibes) and tuba sounds in Garageband and played them on the keyboard."
Comments on Greg Connor's stuff
wonderful folk song, full of images that somehow take me off the range as well. Much enjoyed.
Congrats on being able to retire. I probably never will. You got much more than stories left, sir. You got songs!
Great lyrics....and of course outstanding singing & playing...reminds me a little of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
Boy you sure can write a good one!!!! Another masterpiece! Thanks for sharing the song challenge too!!!

This is EXCELLENT !!!
*Mission Accomplished!* This makes the hair raise on the back of my neck!
Interesting. Well written with great supporting instrumentation.
This hit the spot this morning!
Interesting feel to this
LOTS OF ENERGY !!! Nice guitar licks and the vocal energy is REG all the way!
I like that line *"Forget about the laundry on the floor"*.
I like how this ebbs and flows. I think I'm living the theme of this song. Who knew there was more to life than hanging around drinking beer.
Now . . . That's the stuff we're looking for!
Surrealistic and fun!
Nice cooperative effort between you and Soencer! Beautiful
Very pretty song with anguish just below the surface.
I love that Tuba and Temolophone! Thanks Buck!
Great chord progression supporting a solid lyrical story. Nice Ukulele. I like the echo on the vocal.
