I'll Drive
David G Harrington
I’ll Drive David L Graham
I never begged to have the power
I just need to be me
Don’t matter what you believe
Unless you want to run with me
Then we’ll see what we see
But I get to drive… I get to drive
Chorus…
Cause this is my trip
This is my car
This is my love
Bringing round in my heart
Don’t ask me how or why
I get to drive…I get to drive
I never claimed to be perfect
And I sure don’t want to be
Sounds tougher than what I need
But if we jump up and go
You know we’ll own the road
But I get to drive..I get to drive
Chorus
Bridge..
Sure the front seat’s made for two..
and the other one’s got to be you
Sure, I’ll stop when we need to… cause they’ll be things we want to do
Yea, I’m excited…and you’re invited…
why don’t we roll on out tonight..
I’ll drive
Tanks Andrew, my singing is definitely improving. David Graham writes great words and this one is from the FiftyNinety process that is still running. How do you reply to comments? I guess you cannot
Wow - lyrically, this touches me. Lyrics alone don't often do that for me, not personally anyway, but this one spoke to me (not a relationship thing in my case, more a harrowing work issue of the last weeks/months - thankfully almost resolved now)
