Radiation Mutant Blues
David Marcouillier
Lyrics:
Later in the evening, and I heard sirens all around.
Then I get up this morning, Seabrook Plant had melted down.
I turned on my radio, they told me “this is not a test.”
“You’ll most likely be a mutant by the morning but we wish you all the best.”
Call up my mother in Chicago, call my father out near Keene.
Well you just might see us dying if you turn on your tv.
Got this gamma radiation, and it sure has got me down.
I better take my Potassium Iodides, then I will hitch a ride to town.
I can feel it in my fingernails and I can taste it in my mouth.
Now that green cloud roll back here cause the wind has shifted south.
They got unexploded fuel rods washing up all down the beach.
And there’s radiation mutants eating corpses in the streets.
