Happy To Meet
It hasn’t been possible for me to record or write anything for the last couple months, so I decided mine the archives once again. Here’s a set of Irish jigs I recorded in my basement…ok, one ot the tunes is call “Happy to Meet” (the first I think), never new the name of the second, a forgotten the name of the third (Kirk?)
I double-tracked a Burke D whistle throughout the set of tunes, adding a Copeland low-D whistle on the second tune. The bodhran is loop of a performance of a friend of mine. I also played the “kitchen” stool - I was trying to get a Irish tap dance feel, and being a former drummer, I took out a pair of drumsticks and played along on a wooden kitchen stool.
Tremendous stuff.
Nice set man. I don't have a name for the second tune either, but I think the last one is called "Colemans' Jig"
This is just gorgeous! Let me say that again - THIS IS JUST GORGEOUS! w;-)
Nothing better than using household items to jam with. I can't get enough of this Doug.
