Engaging Use of Sarcasm

Another older song. It’s intentionally short. It makes it’s point and moves on. No need to drag it out.

There used to be more. The song started as a minute-thirty idea, but we had the intention of building it later. We put some cool parts on it. I recorded some drums for it in the rehearsal studio. But…we listened to the song after we left the studio, and things were looking bleak. The song felt rushed, like we were forcing it to be something that it could never be.

Yes, it was terrible. We added another few minutes to it that had no reason to be in the song. ‘Engaging Use of Sarcasm’ was meant to be a minute-thirty. No more or less. Some songs need more time to say what they need to say. ‘Engaging Use of Sarcasm’ is a straight talker; a fat, greasy New Yorker that doesn’t bullshit you.

This version has programmed drums…sorry.
