Harvest Time

Lead Vocals and Acoustic Guitar: Olivia Winthrop

The fields are plowed
the stones are drawn away
and the seeds are sown
under the light of day

We feed the ground
reaping our return
and the sun in the sky
will always brightly burn

Working all over the land
using all the strength of our hands for life
plan ahead for the for the harvest bread
Saving some to pay the price

The rains begin
the germinating time
the grass is revealed
growing toward its prime

Waiting for the day
patient is our kind
When the crop is ready
Will be the harvest time

Working together gather the tools
Bringing the produce out of the fields
Stacking it high and bringing it in
To see the glory of our yield

The celebration now begins
We gather together and sing

Feed the ground
reaping our return
and the sun in the sky
always brightly burns

always brightly burning in the sky

Sounds like a young Annie Haslam. I love this one.

Saved!
