Black Slope Blizzard

This began (as many do) as a very light hearted, feel-good formulaic verse/chorus sort of thing… I played the first minute or so to my wife and she said it had an almost festive feel to it - all that was missing were sleigh bells… But I didn’t do that… Instead it veers off from a happy sleigh ride to a rather dark place (good excuse to add chorus-laced prog-inspired guitar chords and lashings of Mini Moog) before returning to the joyous place it started at.

Equipment and playing-wise I’m persevering with trying to love my Sandberg TT5 string (love the bass and the tonal quality, still don’t like 5 strings) and being new to pick playing I wanted to explore this different approach and attack to the sound - I think it sounds really good on this .
