Two days into a return to the UK to work in July 21 and I tested positive for COVID - happily I was asymptomatic but it meant 11 days in isolation which is where this tune was born. It started (as often my sketches do) with the bass riff that runs through the song; it was played and recorded on my Japanese Fender Jazz ‘Geddy Lee’ through my Genz Benz pre-amp.

It then got left as I commenced a frantic work schedule and when I returned to it I purchased Arturia’s ‘Analog Lab V’ package for Logic. Then the fun started with adding sounds from the Roland Jupiter 8 and the Oberheim SEM synths.

This needs vocals but I’m lacking the confidence to try them - one day maybe I’ll get a band together and the songs can be brought to life with real people?!
