This is the book number four: Numbers. This is a book of war... a cry of war. Yes! this one has a lot of Gustav Holst influence and the first chord is very like Mozart's Don Giovanni... tell me what you think about it please. thanks.
This little ragtime number began life as just a snippet, written as background music for a home movie years ago. For the hard core ragtime buffs, I know this is not quite syncopated enough to be true ragtime, but hopefully its fun and bouncy…
This song was recorded for the independent film documentary, "It/ll be better tomorrow, the life of Hubert Selby Jr.". Sadly, it did not make the final cut, but it will always be a favortite of mine.
A further march down the road in acl's evolution - and one of the many directions we've been dying to get to... it's, ummm, water-y. (And this song is especially dedicated to J Wentz.)
I wanted to start composing in the "classical" or "romantic" style for piano. This is the first movement of a sonata fantasia, its a sonata because it has three movements, but a fantasia because it doesnt have the exact structure of a sonata.
This song is romantic and sensual. It is written about the moon and is a love song of my wife and the silver magic of the moon. 12 strings weave their way through flutes and the kind of vocal you could make children with.
A seemingly nice man; a pretty young girl. The country forgotten, the people cold and without love. The protagonist is lost in his own thoughts. He sees the girl and falls in love; but she barely knows he exists. He begins to hallucinate about her.
