1925 Cover
Faynore
My English cover of a Japanese Vocaloid song (“1925” as sung by Miku Hatsune).
It was sort of hard to make the final result, but I enjoyed it thoroughly! I hope you likewise enjoy listening.
Here are the English lyrics I organized:
The uninsightful motions
that work up a tension.
It works, it works, better then I thought.
The ever-repeated questions,
that have no real solutions.
They don’t, they can’t, they will not bind me down.
And I switch “on” my “alONe” and continue to move.
Reluctance is a dream, so watch me wake up.
Everything is bought and sold, and that means even you.
To rephrase, in my own words,
Nothing new is new.
So take from them and give to her,
And get just what you’re due.
Honor is absent, so there’s nothing else to do.
Though tiny and evasive, some parts of me are showing.
So sly, so sly, not pretty to the eye.
I can see my true sin, it strips me down to bare skin.
It reeks, it stinks, it’s so full of disgrace.
I can spot the differences
And read between the lines.
Is there perfection?
Sometime, someplace, somewhere?
You can think of it like tossing tasteless gum away.
Many other couples simply end up parting ways.
You try to fit the pieces in, but they just won’t stay
So perhaps it’s time to fit them other ways.
When thunderclouds summon the rain to fall,
I rejected the urge to drop my anchor and stay.
The voyage of life, it has a bitter name
carved in its side is the name of my regret.
If you want to know of trouble, then I’ll make it clear:
Our hearts and our virtues and the justice we hold dear.
Even if you put a wall between us and dismay,
We can roundabout and say, “Hello, good day!”
You asked me what love is, so here’s what I’ll admit:
It’s something that you LOse and giVE, and naturally emit.
If love is like a diamond: stable, hardened, and for show,
then pass it on, ‘cause I don’t give a shit.
