Back in the 80’s I heard this recording by a Japanese New Age band. I had never heard anything like it. They fused traditional sounds with a more contemporary sound. So this past week I attempted to create a piece based on my memory of it. I began by programming a kick and snare beat to a shaker as my click. I then used a dulcimer sound from Sample Tank and built from there.I don’t know what instrument they would have used but I remember it sounded like sticks bouncing on strings. The dulcimer was the closest sound I could find. Thanks for listening.
