Allelujiah
Gary Fox
Allelujiah-This was supposed to be a completely different song, but this one just wrote itself instead. It’s almost all first take, except for the bass, which took a while to get straight so that it wouldn’t overwhelm the song. It has this tone that makes me think of a sunny, summer morning in the neighborhoods right outside of New York City. It takes place on someone’s porch at around 6am. It’s not about me, by the way, but I understand the feeling the song wanted to convey. Have you ever really just needed someone soooo bad, it drove you nuts? Not in a creepy stalker sort of way, but in the URGENT sort of way where you might just BLIP! out of existence any minute now if you can’t get your point across. (which is weird, because love isn’t about making points) This driving urgency that is naked and raw in its power, well, here’s a song for you. By the way, I freakin’ LOVED singing the chorus parts.
very nice,, and yes the chorus is cool, almost has a wolf-like calling quality, and your guitar is stellar,,,
Hey Gary - Just stopped by for a listen to a few of your tracks. Keep up the good work! ER
Bassman!!
Hey Gary - I listened to your album on the RPM jukebox, and this is my favorite so far. I'll probably change my mind later, but I like the harmonies you did, and I find myself singing the chorous at random times. Well done, sir. I liked all the songs and I'll be loading them into my MP player once I finish downloading. Regards. ER
Excellent! Loving the new tracks man! They're helping me through the tedium of the shop today!
What a summer anthem! And GREAT driving music!
