Sahara Sands

It was a few strange April days in our little town of Bad Münder. The sky was low and completely filled (with clouds?), and a yellowish light spread as if from below, and from everywhere. Irene had said at the time that it must have been the wind bringing in the Sahara sands, and she had seen it before, when they were returning from a long journey and visibility was so low because of the sandstorm on the motorway that they had to slow down, or even wait on the side of the road. Grains of sand were circling round and round in roundels and swirls, everywhere. They must have been swirls of time…..
