The Winnowing Wind

Something I missed for many years was singing in a choir. Now that I have multitracking I don’t miss it any more.

THE WINNOWING WIND

I feel the wind flow thru me
Oh, please, don’t let it undo me.
Let it level and true me
The wind, the winnowing wind

…and, here I stand, alone against the wind
Oh, who am I to think that I can
Stand alone against the sky

And, when you whisper to me
Your healing words so soothe me
Your pruning will renew me
The wind. The winnowing…

I feel the wind flow thru me
(I feel the wind blow)
Oh, please don’t let it undo me
(I hear the wind blow)
Let it level and true me
(Oh, let the wind blow)
The wind. The winnowing wind…

Oh, why am I and what am I?
And who am I to think that I
Cab stand alone against the sky

…and, when you whisper to me
(I hear the wind blow)
Your healing words so soothe me
(I feel the wind blow)
Your pruning will renew me
(Oh, let the wind blow)
The wind. The winnowing…

Thanks for the kind words about my drum sounds... yeah, I guessed that the vocals on this one were all you - even more impressive :-)

Stunning vocals. Your choral arrangement is masterful. I'm envious of anyone who can sing this beautifully!

That was beautiful! Your brother, John Wayne forwarded this to me. I really appreciate your talent!

Wow, great choir, James! This song sounds like a soundtrack of a historical film. Monumental! Regards, Steffen
