BACK TO ONCE UPON A TIME
What does it profit a man to win the whole world and lose his girl?
A man must have a reason. A poet needs a rhyme
To make it thru a dark season, back to Once Upon A Time
The seasons pass so slowly as the seeds push thru the earth
And a journey thru the woods can be a blessing or a curse
…and when the morning sun shines on the window pane
The rays of light will scatter the night and soak up all of the rain
Sleepy eyes will open on a world that’s blue
A man needs a companion like the harvest needs a moon
And when he’s lost his compass and he forgets the tune
He wanders, lost and lonely, thru his maze of thoughts
And Hope must say, “Good-bye,” to Faith when Love’s the object sought
What does it profit a man to win the whole world and lose his…girl.
