I shouldn’t be out skating. Storm is passing thru
Dm E
Out here in the darkness where I last saw you
Standing neath that street lamp. Standing cold and wet
Only light and shadow and regret
I shouldn’t be out skating tho the traffic’s light
I’ll pick a truck. I’ll take a dive when the time is right
They will say, “He’s crazy.” You ain’t seen nothing yet
Only light and shadow and regret…

Peggy was running. I was on my skates. It was twilight. She stopped in front of the main entrance to the high school, under a street lamp. She said, “I have decided to divorce you and pursue my dream with Doug.” When we got back to the house she started up the stairs with her massage table. I said, “No.”
Naad Kaur Khalsa James Michael Taylor oooo...shadows and regret...I am happy to say I haven't much regret...a lot of deep sorrow...pocketed in loss...shock that is oh so slow to wear off
Cool vibe eerily married to the dark content... I kind of want more verses to see what happens!
Thanks for the comment James! I love your story about your Senior year. This "Skating" song is fun to listen to. I'm on my second time thru. Definitely unique!
