This is a newer version of Summer Nights from what I posted on Thanksgiving day. I didn’t like the previous version. This is a much cleaner version This song is one I wrote quite a while back. I didn’t like the melody so I changed it. Easier than I thought.

Thanks Bethan. Yes it was our first Thanksgiving back home. It's great to be back! I appreciate your opinion re: this tune. Your input is very valuable to me. As I listen to both versions I see what you mean. I should have fixed the mix of the first one rather than redo the song. By doing version 2 however I did learn a valuable lesson. When I recorded the two guitar parts (in stereo) I panned them just slightly to either side. This simple step opened the middle for the vocal and made each part distinct. An obvious thing but before I had assumed that having them in the middle because they were stereo would be ok. Not so. I should have remixed the original this way to see if it would help that mix. I'll bet it would.

This must have been the first "Thanksgiving" for you and your family, in the house since the flood? Hope you all had a good one. I hope you don't mind but I prefer the other version you did. Mind you, I like this very much as well. Cheers Bethan
