I wrote the middle of this song in Bali, Indonesia when traveling with my wife (fiance at the time) and her family. The other parts are inspired from traditional Hawaiian music. Maganda Isla means beautiful island in Tagalog, one of the main native dialects of the Philippines - my parents birthplace.
