Music for Noel MacDuffie’s dance theater magnum opus, Soul Descending, a tale set in a dwindling, long-ago island community off the coast of Maine and inspired by the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. All the music was written and performed by John LaSala except for all the flutes and various wind instruments performed by Eran Glantz. Much of this music is still in what I consider to be in a demo state. I hope to one day complete the work and make it available along with video of the 2005 stage performance by the Carolyn Dorfman Dance Company.
