Written for Noel MacDuffie’s dance theater piece, Soul Descending, this scene sees poor William mourned and laid to rest by his wife Abagail and the few remaining woman of the island community. Unseen by them (though sensed by Abagail), William passes through a giant net and is taken into the land of the dead by the net’s guardian, Jeremiah, and the denizens of the underworld.

All wind instruments performed by Eran Glantz.
The voices are Pam Wagner’s.
