Across the Great Divide
Keith Landry
What started as an interesting hiking concept that I contrived for my sister’s next trip out “Hey, what if you climbed up Sleeping Beauty Mountain and I climbed up Shelving Rock. We could get out the binoculars and see each other from different peaks.” There always seemed to the two of us that the human race was meant to fly, thus the need for some of us to get to high places. Anyway, the song ultimately became a reflection of how two people already in their own stable relationships realize that they would have been great with each other as well. “You climbed up to the top of your mountain, and I climbed up to the top of mine.”
ahh the slow song. Awesome lyrics. I like this one, a little empty but nothing that a small extra melody can't fix. A-
You do have such a great voice and this is another beautiful track.
