Doctor says my numbers aren’t where they’re suppose to be
Gotta change my eating habits and work out more than once a week
I know I tend to get addicted to things that make me smile
Like Parks and Rec and Star Wars, eating ice cream all the while
Right now I’m sitting on my sofa
I do prefer denial

So I got myself in training for a race in early fall
I’m even running when it’s raining - the soda’s gone once and for all
But if you really want the reason I’m working out and eating right
It’s so I look a bit more pleasing when I’m alone with you tonight
Never though I’d get all hooked on running
But I’m thinking I just might
