Finally got around to connecting several electronic items on my side desk - Kawai R-50e drum machine from around 1995, Fostex X-18 4-track tape recorder from a couple of years earlier than that (I think), a Korg volca keys from 2021, and a handful of guitar effects pedals (pitch shift, fuzz, chorus, and a couple of delays) accumulated over several years, all run through a small Behringer mixer.

I started the tape loop (recorded a couple of years ago), then kicked off a “song” that I’d cobbled together back around 1996 on the drum machine, then alternated between cranking up the FX loop and playing synth notes on the volca. All one take, no overdubs, and only limited studio trickery to adjust the volume levels.

Really looking forward to making more noise this way!
