This Track was recorded a couple of years ago, and I started thinking about it because of the recent Track “dreaming” that I uploaded.

My friend Lavasir Nordrum (http://www.lavasir.no/portfolio/into-the-mendicant) somehow managed to get us into the Vigeland Mausoleum in Norway, an absolutely stunning place and definately worth checking out!

The reverb you hear in the main voice, for sure in the beginning, is the natural reverb of the place, I don’t know if I’ve ever been in a place with that kind of sound.

Lavasir had a microphone that was sucked on the bottom of the violon and then a handheld zoom h1 mp3 recorded that he was holding in front of me. He later mixed those two recordings together.

The main melody and sometime later in the impro I picked from the 2nd movement of Respighis violin concerto gregoriano. Definately worth listening to.

Enjoy!

Heavenly sounds descend from nowhere and disappear into nowhere. The voice of the poet’s soul. --Thanks for Respighi, man.

Woah, the verb.... <3 The playing is cool, pretty fun to hear baroque cadences and motifs scattered in there...
