I Follow The Call
This recording has been through hell, pretty much like I was when I wrote this: It was recorded written and played by me, on a fostex four track. At the time even true love had let me down, and decided its dreams “for” me were more important than my dreams for me. The four track was put away, I fought myself back to life, the four track was trashed on a flight out east by our dear bush led airport safety friends, and left with a note “sorry” but we were protecting our country. This song is part of me that still lives, just doesn’t find many friends in the music world. Finally found someone with a fourtrack, so I could download it onto hard disk in my studio, his fourtrack sucked, was so loud with hiss I almost chucked all the songs I was trying to save. I’m putting it here, because I still like it, it’s still part of me, and because I’ve met people here in alonetone who may be able to get it, and like it. if not? Ah, well, I follow the call. And so do so many of you. It’s all we have sometimes.
When you've been through hell and are ready to come back - listen to this one for your personal anthem! Great stuff!
Makes me think of "13 floor elevators", this one has the spook. Thats a great vocal. I really like this. I need to spend some time listening to your tunes.
The hiss just sounds adds to the mood. Keep this one alive!
Pretty impressive track considering it was recorded on a four track. It brought back memories from the late 60's and early 70's when my bandmates and I recorded on a reel to reel. Sometimes in the midst of these digital advances, I miss those days.
