Mixed Up Confusion
Mike Denison (Lumberfork)
This is really old. Something I made one “intoxicated” evening when I thought I had to be really cool if I wanted to be really cool.
Drum track, vocal and everything else is acoustic guitars in various states of mistune. It sounded really cool at the time….

First to the well
A sign of survival
A colorful revival
Just a little confused
Bent on the booze
In a poetic recital
Fear tip-toes in
Here just as we begin
Dreaming in the city
Nightmares and pity
The ride will soon begin
Mixed up confusion
Our vision illusion
And praying it won’t end
Fading pictures
Raging winters
Worn through fool’s neglect
Brave tin soldier
Forgotten warrior
A statue’s silhouette
Lies heard out loud
Eyes within a crowd
Dreaming in the city
Nightmares and pity
The ride will soon begin
Mixed up confusion
Our vision illusion
And praying it won’t end
Raven crowing
Her wings unfolding
A rage storm in the sky
Cloud men dancing
Two minds chancing
Dimension’s great divide
Free to cross the light
See the after dark delight
Dreaming in the city
Nightmares and pity
The ride will soon begin
Mixed up confusion
Our vision illusion
And praying it won’t end
Please come back again
