Want to want me, try to taunt me
Keep me quiet, keep me in the dark
Like to hit me, try to get me
Figure out me when I’m in the dark

Will alert me, would convert me
Witness to me how I’m in the dark
Want to hold me, need to scold me
Wanting answers when I’m in the dark

You don’t get to embrace me or harass me
Nor elate me, rate me or relate me to your dark
I won’t let you entice me or police me
Don’t confirm me, warm me or conform me to your dark

Can’t align me, don’t assign me
Or attribute to me in the dark
Won’t permit me, can’t commit me
Listen to me ‘cause you’re in the dark

Don’t correct me nor direct me
Keep me posted, keep me in the dark
Don’t divest me, don’t molest me
Leave me be and let me leave the dark

Don’t pursue me nor delay me
Grant me comfort, give me to the dark
Don’t command me, won’t convince me
