SOLIDARITY
Uhm… not my worse.
SOLIDARITY
Wading in the marshes of reality
Pacing to the songs we sing
Fearing those who alter our mentality
Running from the pain they bring
Hiding in the shelters of our fantasy
Someplace we can rest our souls
Dreading those who rupture solidarity
As we’re herded from our goals
Where it stops? Nobody knows!
We can hope that they’ll consume themselves
If we drop, well, “so it goes”
We had prayed that they’d consume themselves
Waiting in the cellars of our universe
Cornered in the rooms we’ve found
Wishing Mother Earth was spinning in reverse
Knowing how the world “goes ‘round”
Whose move? Whose shoes?
And who will pay our dues?
Whose sounds? Whose songs?
And who will right these wrongs?
Who’s bad? Who’s worst?
And who will get us first?
Whose sights? Whose eyes?
And who will stop the lies?
