Home-Made
Home-Made Rock n Roll
( t boudreau)
I want to tell ya about my baby
She does a little kitchen dance
She turns up my heat
And grease’s down my sheets
And she can rattle my pots n pans
She can start with a slow simmer
And turn it up to a rolling boil
But one things is for sure
No matter what she serves
The left overs get wrapped in foil
My baby’s cooking food for my soul
A holistic casserole
There’s a sign on the wall
“come one come all”
She’s serving home-made rock n roll
She keeps the back-beat back in the pantry
Shes got the stone-cold bass on ice
She sings Savory or sweet
And cooks a melody
That says ‘Boy, don’t make me call you twice’
And she can sure chew on the grizzle
I say the meat is sweeter near the bone
But that one thing she got
Is hallopejnio hot
And tonight we’re dining alone
My baby’s cooking out of control
It’s an organic a la mode
And there’s always a mood
Of good friends and good food
She’s serving home-made rock n roll
Ya gotta get there by eleven
Although the kitchen may be closed by then
But one thing that I know
Is that the drinks will flow
And her dessert cart is really rocking
My baby’s cooking food for my soul
So wholesome and natural
There’s a sign on the wall
“come one come all”
She’s serving home-made rock n roll
Another kick a$$ RPM from you Orphans. I think it will take a few listens on a better sound set-up at home to digest this all. ;)
