Sublime Intervention
Sublime Intervention (nobody cares)
(t boudreau)
I peaked thru a hole in my soul and saw you standing there
Ringing the bell of my heart
I forget where we left and that’s a great place to start
We took a fling on the wing of a wild thing
To get a view from above
When we crashed to the ground we lost sight of love
And nobody cares
I view my world in reverse so I don’t have to rehearse
It sure beats pretending
I got time to write myself a happy ending
A long walk in the woods just might do me some good
Might get my head on a wall
They only build us up just to fall
And nobody cares, its like we’re not even here
There’s a death ride in life that starts on the lower east side
And ends up just south of heaven
A short stones throw from the Seven Eleven
Its best to strap yourself in and just let it begin
The next thing ya know its over
Like a super star but nobody knows ya
And nobody cares
we’re all putting on heirs and eyes and nose and lips and smiles
Jet-black windows lead out to a balcony overlooking the 92nd floor
And the blood runs from your bone-white fingertips as you clench to nevermore
Climbed thru that hole in my soul I saw you running away
With someone far more glamorous
I laid it on pretty thick but you just weren’t having it
So I thumbed a ride on a red-eyed firefly into another dimension
We shared a hit a sublime intervention
And nobody cares, its like we’re not even here
