Another skirmish - the prompt was “Cats (or other pets)”. Great prompt and I had some fun with this one. Pets are a big part of our lives so here’s a little taste of what it’s like at the Gordon house.

V1:
A long line of dogs and cats have lived here
Whenever we lost one, another would appear
We’d tell ourselves that we should wait
But we never waited long, didn’t need a debate

PRE1:
Belle, Reno, Mara
Stinky Lucy and Merle
But they’ve evolved into a new bunch
Two boys and a girl

Two cats and one crazy dogie
They like to lie in the sun
Or maybe take off and run
They sure make life lots more fun

When it’s bone time you better watch out
‘Cause Rowdy let’s you know without a doubt
He tries to get the cats in on the game
But they just ignore, they think that game’s pretty lame
