Inspired by "Murder Mystery" by The Velvet Underground, with lyrics adapted from posts on Craigslist's endlessly fascinating "Missed Connections" section. I wanted to put positive posts in one speaker and negative in the other.

A while ago, I made a short little ambient loop I didn't really know what to do with. Eventually, I decided it sounded like hold music and this spoken word-ish piece resulted. Maybe it will function as a skit on my next album.

A spooky little trip-hop beat I may rap over later. It's *supposed* to be covered with filthy digital distortion, but maybe I overdid that and should tone it down.

Written for a member of an online community I'm in. She'd fallen ill, so one of us organized personal care packages for her: Mine included a mix CD, and what better way to personalize such a thing than with a cheesy motivational rap song?

I might add more to this simple little beat, but I like it how it is. Maybe when I get a rap album together this will be an "interlude".

Another track I recorded much earlier in the year. When I mentioned doing a noise side project, someone suggested I use some sort of onomatopoeia for a name, and I came up with Kzzzrrrk.

A little bit more calm than the surrounding material, but I thought it was a good way to close things out.

There's some more self-sampling going on here - for instance the screams are from the end of "HoOSHA!" and the loop that sounds like synth strings is a cut up part of "Orchestra X-1".
