I wrote these lyrics way back in the 90's in a hotel room in Corner Brook on a family vacation. I remember sitting on the corner of the hotel room bed watching the rain outside hit the window and this lyrics just came. I scribbled them in a notebook…

Another song from the 90's cassette tapes. Pretty rough but I can see where it was going.

An outtake from 2010's "End of Happy Endings". Marc recorded three different versions of the song and Danielle hated them all. I mixed all three versions together to create this forbidden, Franken-version of Marc's forgotten rock-opera.

I wrote this song in 2013 for a project I did with Brent Kinder from Angie Fights Crime. I sent it to him and he did a great punk version of it which you can listen to at the link below.

In 2002 we rented a digital 8-track and recorded our first 5 song EP "Imaginary Friends". This is the last song from that EP. Chris Adams wrote the guitar riff. Marc and Danielle are singing a bunch of random lyrics from one of my many notebooks…

A Danielle song from the 90's cassette sessions back in La Scie. The mic input is turned up way too high, hence the fuzzy, distorted sound on everything. But it was the 90's. The decade defined but fuzz and distortion. One of my favorite songs…

It's no secret we love Tom Waits. Our band is name is from one of his lyrics. So of course we've covered many of his song over the years. However this was our first. We used to cut in to a heavy version of this one half way through "Sleeping Giant…

Another song from the lost 2002-2005 sessions. I always felt the chorus was too heavy metal-ish, but people tell me they like it. Not sure why. I think I envisioned this as the theme song for some imaginary movie about a robot-cowboy. I watched…

An outtake from the 2019 "Sunburn Twins" sessions. I had a couple tracks left on the mixer for the album version of the song so I used them to make this little acoustic, swing version.

I wrote this song in 2004 when Melanie and I moved into our first apartment. It's kind of an imaginary story about what I might have done with the rent money if I weren't so dang responsible. Angie Fights Crime did a cool cover of it on our split…

An outtake from 2011's "You Won't Like It". I was listening to a lot of Minutemen at the time and this wasn't punk enough for me to include it. Although some of the lyrics got incorporated into "Less Than Zero" which did make the album.

Another one of Dad's favorite songs from the Anniversary album. I grew up listening to this song played over and over and over in the car and house. Hope I did it justice. Who knew decades later I'd get to shake the hand of the legend that wrote…
