I was on the Governors Island, New York, Coast Guard station in New York Harbor. I was in Foghorn Alley sitting in a playground swing with The Statue of Liberty on my right. This was the night of a full lunar eclipse. Desperately missing the girl I loved - she was at the Point Reyes Station, CA, Coast Guard Station - I began picking out a tune and lyrics. Turns out she was watching the same eclipse, 3000 miles away, missing me. We were married 14 Feb 1985 and are still madly in love. She died 17 September 2014 - I miss her terribly.
