at the end of an evening, after the house lights have gone down, in the quietness of the hall,, two cellos, share a quiet moment.. dedicated to the old couple who have lived so long together, to parent who watches as their child sleeps, to the musicians who meet here and share both the good and not so good through our music,,, as a back note i have woooorked all this entire week trying to come up with just 1 single cello solo, that both sounded real and interesting,,, not sure this is all of that, (i am actually learning that making music for a single instrument can be harder than for a group),, but this sure beats the hell out of my other 10 tries,, and it is after all, learning and fun that the whole rpm is about,, my thanks richard
Yes, I like less reverb, but who am I to know. I thought you got a more natural sound on the other setting. They're both good, and if there wasn't the request for comparison, the differences would have gone unnoticed.
very, very nice. Gotta be my favorite instrument for solos. Good luck and good experience with the RPM. I did it just once and it was the best month of my musical life.
This is just about perfect for me and I can't help thinking that your description would make a perfect short animation. If only I had the skill.
What a gorgeous piece! I actually prefer this one with the longer reverb as it gives the impression of not intruding on the conversation, but listening to it from a distance. Just beautiful Richard!
Cello is a cool tool.
Solo pieces are a lot harder than full orchestra, in many ways indeed. But this sounds very nice.
