That's How it Always Goes

Not too much happening here. I like the guitarmonies. Somehow that always sounds better with a lot of fuzz. There are a couple of places where tracks play backwards. The second verse has a copy of one of the voices chopped up and reversed line by line. I loaded it up with sauce to keep it in the background and panned it all over the place too. Goofy. Also, pretty obviously the guitars on the last note are reversed too.

The rhythm guitar (what there is of it) is a trick too. I set up a delay to play at eighth notes. The timing was a little bit off so it sounds weird, but every other note is an echo. That was kinda fun to do but I wish the delay time had been a smidge more accurate.

All of the guitars are a Gibson ES-335 through two amps at once, a Vox AC15 and a Fender Bassbreaker 15. The rhythm guitar used a Klon KTR and a Wampler Faux Tape Echo. The fuzz guitars used a Wren and Cuff Tri Pi 70 and the KTR.

I don’t know
how much I’ve got in me
let it go
nod your head and agree
make a plan
based on what you can’t see
and that’s how it always goes
