Sell You Something (2024 Version)
The 11th and final song for the seventh edition of Quarantine Tunes. I promised myself I was going to stop at volume six and now we have volume seven and I’ve already started working on volume eight.
This is okay. I like the three part harmonies at the end, and I like the stop and start vibe. Other than that it is kind of a sloppy mess.
All of the guitars are my Gibson ES-335 Pro. The rhythm track was simple with just a Klon KTR and a Fender Deluxe Reverb turned up pretty loud. The leads used a Real McCoy Customs RMC10 wah pedal into a Wren and Cuff Tall Font Russian fuzz pedal into the Klon KTR overdrive into both a Fender Bassbreaker 15 and a Vox MV50 Clean with both amps using their direct output into my USB audio interface.
Verse 1
if it should come again
you’ll never see the end
he’s gonna let you down
he’s gonna sell you out
Chorus
He’s trying to sell you something
He’s gonna lie to you
(repeat)
Verse 2
he did this to himself
he needs to be expelled
the way he sold our soul
he really has to go
