I Tried Flying Away

Four songs complete for the 2023 RPM Challenge and I think this one might be the winner. I have it penciled in for track one. I came up with the opening (Asus2 -> Cmaj7) while testing the signal path into GarageBand when I was setting up to record my first guitar parts of the month. I saved it off in it’s own file, sort of expecting to just forget about it. When I had the guitars down for the first 10 songs I went back to it and worked it into a song right away. I kinda like the end result.

The rhythm tracks are my Les Paul Standard into an Earthquaker Devices The Depths into an MXR Phase 95 (I didn’t use them both at the same time) into a Klon KTR into a Chicago Stompworks Blooze Maker into a Fender Deluxe Reverb. The leads are the same without the modulation, Les Paul into KTR into Blooze Maker into Deluxe Reverb.
