Another Mixed Up Day
Robert James
2024 50/90 Challenge song idea number one becomes finished song number three. Only 47 more to go!
My morning routine got messed up and it became a song. Fascinating source of inspiration, eh?
I like the chorus in this one. Well, I like the guitar part in the chorus. I’m not sure if I like everything else or not, but that’s a good start, right?
The rhythm guitars are my Les Paul Custom into an Earthquaker Devices The Depths into a Klon KTR pedal into a Fender Bassbreaker 15 and a Vox MV50 Clean, both of which were using their direct outputs and built in cabinet emulation. The lead guitar used the same two amps but the guitar was my ES-335 Pro into a Real McCoy Customs RMC10 wah pedal into an MXR Phase 95 into a Wren and Cuff Tall Font Russian into the Klon KTR into a Seymour Duncan Vapor Trails analog delay.
Chorus
Another mixed up day
Is getting underway
Another screwed up morning
What can I say?
Verse 1
This calls for a new beginning
Along for the ride
The trials are never ending
consent is implied
Verse 2
The need to belong to something
Sometimes overwhelms
The goal’s to be always moving
No time for farewells
