I'll Think of Something
Robert James
Song idea number 10 becomes finished song number nine of 50 for the 2023 50/90 challenge.
Nothing special here other than the time signature being 15/8. I want to play with time in ways other than the normal 7/8 and 5/4 this year, and here’s one. I don’t think I’ve ever touched 15/8 before. At least not on purpose. I liked this one and didn’t have much difficulty feeling the groove of it. It was fun.
The guitars are all Les Paul Standard. The rhythm tracks used a Klon KTR into an Analog Man King of Tone into a Fender Bassbreaker 15 (through your left speaker) and a Vox MV50 (through your right speaker) both of which were direct signals into my USB interface. The leads used a Wah Huge Russian Pickle into the Klon into a mic’d up Fender Deluxe Reverb.
Chorus
In the hidden places
Are the risks worth taking
Bring about the changes
Break the rules worth breaking
Verse 1
A better time
A higher climb
A smoother ride
its safe inside
Bridge
I’ll think of something
I ask for nothing
I know what’s coming
I’ll think of something
Verse 2
Get used to it
it still might fit
You must admit
It feels legit
