No Luck
Robert James
Another National Solo Album Month song that isn’t so bad. I kinda dig the groove in the chorus. There is a B3 organ all the way through, mostly just doubling the guitars. Actually, the B3 came first so the guitars are doubling it, not the other way around. I tried to bury it in the mix without losing it completely.
I’m trying very hard not to nitpick the vocals. It’s taking a lot of effort.
The rhythm guitar tracks are a Gibson Les Paul Standard 50s into a Ryra the Klone and a Vox MV50 Clean. The leads are the same with a Keeley D&M Drive after the Ryra.
Chorus
Luck has not been on your side
Its so depressing
Fate is fighting back the tide
Decompressing
Verse 1
Its time for confession
a small indiscresion
a minor obsession
its kind of annoying
Verse 2
No use in defending
a misguided ending
go on representing
the way that it should be
Bridge
I am defending you again
I’m not expecting you to bend
Tell yourself it’s okay and then
Its over
