Repeat - (2024 Version)
Robert James
Another song from the 2021 RPM Challenge (I think?) that has been re-recorded for the Quarantine Tunes Volume Seven project. This song sort of rocks. I changed the arrangement a little and rethought the way the harmony vocals were structured and tweaked the lyrics a tiny bit. I think the mix is sloppy and maybe the vocals could come up some (but I can say that about literally every mix I’ve ever done, ever).
The rhythm guitars are my Les Paul Custom into an MXR Phase 95 into a Klon KTR into an Analog Man King of Tone into a Seymour Duncan Vapor Trails into both a Fender Bassbreaker 15 and a Vox MV50 Clean, both running direct output. The leads for all but the solo at the very end are my ES-335 into a Wren and Cuff Tall Font Russian into the Klon KTR into a Fender Deluxe Reverb. The quieter leads at the end are the same guitar and amp with the pedal chain consisting of an Earthquaker Devices The Depths into the Klon KTR into the Seymour Duncan Vapor Trails.
Verse 1
It seems like I have been through this before
It seems like
Something I go through that I can’t take anymore
that’s all (it is)
Chorus
Once more around again
Once more without ending
Verse 2
The physics are somewhat unknown to me
Whatever
The math just won’t work out it just won’t let me see
The truth
